Part I: A Bedtime Story (Beauty Meets the Beast)

Some love stories save you. Some destroy everything on their path.

A Tale of Words and Music, and the Unbreakable Bond of Sisterhood

From the very beginning, L.C. Moon and her sister Lana Chacra were inseparable. They spent their childhood creating imaginary worlds, lost in the stories they dreamed up together. L.C. was always drawn to complex narratives, often making her alter egos face challenges that would test their resilience.  And Lana would always bring the music back to their lives, her artistic instincts providing the framework for the sisters’ imagination to take flight.

As they grew older, their creative bond took different forms.  One sister picked up a pen, and the other sat down at a piano.  For a time, their art remained separate, each following their own path of self-expression. L.C. channeled her inner demons into storytelling, and Lana composed melodies that spoke when words could not.

Decades passed before the sisters' artistic paths intertwined again. And as fate would have it, it was by revisiting the dark fairy tales that had shaped their childhood that their creative worlds merged once more. It wasn’t something they planned. It happened naturally, as the best things in life always do.

In 2014, L.C. finally put to paper the twisted love story that had haunted her since adolescence. When she shared her rough draft with Lana, her sister understood something before she did: A Bedtime Story (Beauty Meets the Beast) wasn’t just a novel—it was the first chapter of the Fairy Tales From the Underworld trilogy. More than that, it was a return to the dark, captivating universe they had created as children. As Lana immersed herself in the somber tale, music began to fill her mind, compelling her to create an original soundtrack that would complete the vision.

And so Lana composed a piece and played it for L.C. without any explanation. It was Renovanem, though at the time, it had no name. As the melody unfolded, L.C. immediately recognized it: this was Laura Spencer’s song.  She heard her character's hardships, strength, and resilience in every note.

Tentatively, the younger sister asked if this track could be used for Fairy Tales From the Underworld. The older sister simply smiled and said, "It already belongs there. The music came from the same place as your story."
